Original from WWII, base is stamped with a crown and marked "AM Lamp Inspection Mark II, REF No 5C/369, Commercial Pattern". AM stands for the British Air Ministry. It was used to help technicians in the repair and maintenance of large military airplanes. The lamp was connected to the flight engineer's panel, next to the pilot in the cockpit. Also used to read instruments or maps. Lamp is fully functional and has its original electrical hooks which can modernized. Body shows age and dings, no broken parts. Measures 6 1/2 inches long, 2 1/8 in diameter.
